Clean Works Continues To Give Back To Puerto Rico!

In times of tragedy and despair, there is always one word that unites people. That word is community. At Clean Works, we like to think of ourselves as a community and a family.

That’s why we knew we had to do something to help the families that were deeply impacted by Hurricane Maria, the storm that ravaged Puerto Rico. Over 30 of Clean Works employees have a direct connection to Puerto Rico with many of their friends and family members still living there. Many of our employees expressed concern when many of them had not heard back from family members in several days.

After a lot of discussion, Clean Works decided we would begin collecting donations that could be sent over to help those still trapped in Puerto Rico after the storm had hit. We came up with a list of items to donate that included toilet paper, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, laundry soap, feminine hygiene items, deodorant, soap, and trash bags.

Within 24 hours, donations began pouring into our facility and have not stopped! We have estimated that the amount of items that have been donated could benefit as many as 200-300 people. While it may seem like a modest number, the fact that we have been able to come together as a company and community says a lot about our passion to help people.

If you would like to donate any non-perishable food items or toiletries to help out, you still can! Donations will be accepted until October 15th and items can be dropped off at our corporate location on 2733 Columbia Avenue, Lancaster, PA 17603.
